Robert N. Golden is Of Counsel to GRSLBG&B and concentrates his practice in Workers’ Compensation. He represents employers, insurance carriers, third party administrators and self-insureds in the defense of workers compensation claims.
Mr. Golden joined GRSLBG&B in 1968.
Mr. Golden is a 1962 graduate of The University of Florida and received his law degree from The University of Florida in 1965. While in law school, Mr. Golden was a member of the Board of Editors of the Florida Law Review.
Mr. Golden is a member of the Somerset County, New Jersey and Florida Bar Associations. He was Assistant Somerset County Prosecutor from 1967-1970; Municipal Prosecutor, Township of Franklin, 1970-1974; Attorney for the Board of Adjustment, Borough of Raritan, New Jersey, 1972-1983; Chairman, Somerset County Prosecutorial and Judicial Appointments Committee, 1981-1982; Chairman, Somerset County Bar Association Worker’s Compensation Committee, 1995-2000; Member, Supreme Court Central Ethics Committee, 1982-1986; Member, Commission on Judicial Performance, 1997- ; Member ,The New Jersey Bar Association, The Florida Bar Association; New Jersey Trial Lawyers Association, New Jersey Defense Association, The Defense Research Institute, The New Jersey Self Insured’s Association, The New Jersey Workers Compensation Association, (Member, Executive Board 1980-1985). Kenneth Rothschild is Of Counsel to GRSLBG&B and concentrates his practice in Insurance Coverage, Professional Liability, Construction, and General Liability. He represents Insurance Companies (and their insureds), Self-Insured entities, and Insurance Agents & Brokers in the defense of complex and high risk claims.
Mr. Rothschild joined GRSLBG&B in 1973.
Mr. Rothschild is a 1967 graduate of Rutgers University and received his law degree from Seton Hall in 1973.
Mr. Rothschild is a member of the New Jersey Association. For more than 10 years, he has been assigned the highest rating by Martindale Hubbell (AV rated), and has been designated as a New Jersey “Super Lawyer” for more than 10 years by Super Lawyer Magazine and New Jersey Monthly for Insurance Coverage Matters. He is also listed in New York Magazine as one of the “New York Area’s Best Lawyers” for Construction Litigation. He has served as a Court Appointed Arbitrator and has been appointed as a Discovery Master in Complex Insurance Litigation. He has also testified as an expert witness in Insurance Litigation. He formerly served on both the Middlesex County and Somerset County bench/bar committees. He has been a frequent guest speaker for numerous insurance companies and related trade organizations and is listed in National Registry’s, Madison’s and Marquis’ Who’s Who. Gary S. Spagnola, Esq. is Of Counsel at GRSLBG&B and concentrates his practice in Civil Rights, Labor & Employment and General Liability. Since 1990, the volume of his practice involved defending chiefs of police, police officers, police departments, municipal governments, mayors, members of town councils, the Middlesex County Prosecutor and Assistant Prosecutors, Detectives and Investigators of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office in lawsuits instituted in both State and Federal Courts pursuant to Section 1983 of Title 42 of the United States Code Annotated. The lawsuits which he has defended involve claims for violations of state and federally protected constitutional rights arising from allegations involving assault and battery, false arrest, false imprisonment, illegal searches and seizures, and malicious prosecution.
Since 1994, a volume of his practice has involved defending chiefs of police, police departments, municipal governments, mayors, members of town councils, the Middlesex County Prosecutor and the County of Middlesex in lawsuits instituted in both Federal and State Courts pursuant to the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination (LAD), the New Jersey Conscientious Employee Protection Act (CEPA), and Section 1983 of Title 42 of the United States Code Annotated. The lawsuits which he has defended involved claims for violations of state and federally protected constitutional rights, violations of CEPA, violations of LAD and the creation of hostile work environments arising from allegations involving unlawful discrimination on the basis of sex, religion, ethnic origin and political affiliation, unlawful termination and unlawful adverse employment treatment.
His experience as an Assistant Prosecutor makes him uniquely qualified to represent police officers and Police Departments in Civil Rights litigation.
Mr. Spagnola, upon graduation from law school, served as the law clerk to the Honorable John W. Fritz, J.A.D. (ret.) for two years and joined GRSLBG&B in 1978.
Mr. Spagnola is a 1966 graduate of Rutgers University and received his law degree from Dickinson School of Law in 1969. While in law school, Mr. Spagnola was involved in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives – Internship.
